Volunteer Information

Workshops and panels are led by volunteer college faculty and science professionals from the community. Other volunteers are needed throughout the day for set-up, registration, escorting groups around campus, and clean-up.

EYH also offers parents, teachers, and counselors a special workshop to help them assist girls with decisions about education and careers in science and mathematics in our increasingly technological society. We ask that each girl, parent, teacher, and counselor submit a registration form and a small registration fee to cover the cost of their luncheon.

Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, escort girls to sessions, assist participants, set up, tear down and general "gopher" duties throughout the day.  Interested volunteers please email eyhmath@siu.edu .  Thank you!

Please take a moment to download, and complete the Department and College of Engineering, Computing, Technology, and Mathematics Volunteer Form.

Parking Information

There is drop off sidewalk in front of the Student Center for all students - buses, cars, vans, etc.

  • Cars or vans should turn left on Lincoln Drive and then park in the lot opposite the Student Center.

  • Once unloaded, buses should park in the Arena parking lot.

For the convenience of your participants and bus drivers, a color-coded pdf-format parking map of campus is available for printing at the Department of Public Safety website.
